Connect. Build. Learn. Be.

The key is working together.

We’re for men - those who want to contribute to their community, find mateship with likeminded people, use their skills to give back or perhaps even learn new ones.

And for the men who just enjoy a cuppa? We’re here for that too.

Welcome to the Newcastle Men’s Shed.

We’re a not-for-profit community organisation creating opportunities for men to connect, create and contribute. We welcome all men who want that perfect combination of practical and social experiences.

Does our Shed sound like your cup of tea?

(Or coffee, we have a good supply of both).

Built by you, here for you.

We aim to promote holistic wellbeing of men. Whether you’re looking for tools, tinkering or just to talk -
We’re here for you.

We’re guided by our members to provide events, activities and opportunities for you to find fullfilment and mateship in a way that suits you. From hands-on projects to live music experiences and educational guest speakers, we work to meet the needs of our men practically, socially & emotionally.

Whilst we warmly welcome the families of our members to many events, our focus is men mentoring each other towards fullfillment & connection.

What is the Mens Shed-min.jpg

Your shed, your way.

No two sheds are the same. We respond to the interests of both our members & community to create experiences that are unique, engaging and fulfilling.

The best way to see what we do is to check out what we’ve done, and what we’re doing now:

What does the Men’s Shed mean to you?

..." a great place to spend time with friends & peers."

A social & supportive place where work is available but NOT compulsory ... people with a surprising variety of backgrounds, who all seem to want to support & contribute.

Greg, Newcastle Member

"... the Men's Shed showed how supportive they can be."

"In the first couple of meetings I attended it was clear that the support they had in place was fantastic... in March 2017 my partner's daughter was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer... this was when the members of the Men's Shed showed how supportive they can be. The Men's Shed has become a big part of my life."
